Biography

Dr. Dillon received his doctorate in Political Science from SUNY Binghamton in 1997. He stayed at SUNY Binghamton and held positions as Assistant Director of the McNair Scholars Program, Senior Research Analyst in the Office of Budget and Institutional Research and, finally, as Assistant Director of the Office of Institutional Research. In 2006 he became the Director of Institutional Research at UMBC, where he is currently the Associate Vice-Provost of Institutional Research, Analysis, and Decision Support (IRADS). In his current position he works closely with the president, vice-presidents, deans, and other campus decision makers to create a campus wide reporting solution to support strategic planning. Current efforts include enhancing student success by infusing the results of predictive and prescriptive models into that reporting system.
