Mike currently is responsible for shepherding the enterprise data architecture vision, strategy, and principles at the University. His responsibilities include providing expertise on data quality, usage, and mapping, evaluating the use of data and relating data directly to the goals and practices of the institution, and facilitating an institutional data stewardship council which provides governance to data policy and process. Prior to assuming his current role, Mike was the Manager of the Database Group for 8 years, where he was responsible for a database administration staff that managed databases for University administrative and academic servers. He also was involved in application system selection and implementation.

Prior to joining the University, Mike spent 10 years with the Walt Disney Company, where he performed advanced technology research, technical training, application development, and data modeling activities. Preceding Mike's stint with the Mouse, he did application development for a major plastics manufacturer and a steel company.
