Pat Falcon is the Information Security Policy & Awareness Specialist for Computing and Information Services (CIS) at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she is a member of its Information Security Group. Since assuming that role in October of 2004 she has been responsible for the design and execution of security awareness and training programs as well as support of the Chief Information Security Officer.

Major projects have included: coordination of all ISG activities in support of National Cyber Security Awareness Month since 2005, and more recently, for Data Privacy Month; development of online training materials and quizzes; creation and editorial responsibilities for the Information Security Group's newsletter, Secure IT!; and, management of ISG's web presence. Previously at Brown she managed the office of Computing Accounts and Help Desk, edited the monthly CIS newsletter, and handled various documentation and technical writing assignments.

Pat is a member of the Higher Education Information Security Council's Awareness and Training Working Group, through which she had been involved in the Computer Security Awareness Poster & Video Contest for college students.

Pat graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a B.S. in Speech / Broadcasting, where she worked for several years at its public television station as a producer/director and videographer.
