Biography

Patrick Laughran is Chief Information Officer at Framingham State University with nearly two decades of cummulative experience at both private and public higher education institutions. He is also an instructor and lecturer on strategies for information systems management and enterprise growth through innovation for the Northeastern University online MBA program. Mr. Laughran is an active member of the Framingham State University Foundation Board, Massachusetts Public Higher Education CIO Council, and the IMS Global Learning Consortium CIO Advisory Council.

Prior to his role at Framingham State University Mr. Laughran was founding Chief Technology Officer of TechTarget, a business-to-business media company, and established the online platform used to deliver targeted content and marketing services for use across all segments of the IT industry. He also helped launch Universal Learning Technology as founding CTO, which later acquired and took the name of WebCT, and led the development of the first internet based learning technology with built-in reading, study and comprehension support (a.k.a. "Bravo!").

Mr. Laughran holds a BSBA in management information systems from Northeastern University, an MBA from Babson College, and participated in the 2011 Harvard Graduate School of Education Institute for Higher Education Management program.
