Rebecca's work at edX is focused on managing sponsored research and proof-of-concept projects. Her current work includes managing the pilot of MOOC courses being adapted for on-campus learning in k-12, The California State University System and Massachusetts Community Colleges. She also facilitates communities of practice for the instructional design and teaching teams and educational researchers within the edX Consortium.

Rebecca has worked in higher education IT and online program development for the past 15 years. At Lesley University she was the founding Director of Academic Technology and was later appointed as the Director of eLearning Resources and Professional Development. Her responsibilities included the implementation of LMS and ePortfolio platforms, as well as overseeing the online and hybrid course instructional design and technology teams. At Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) Rebecca was appointed their first Director of Faculty Development where she successfully created faculty programs that built capacity for online and hybrid course development. Rebecca has also served as an assistant professor and lecturer in educational technology at Lesley University, Northeastern University and Wentworth.

Rebecca is the current chair of the Educause Advisory Committee for Teaching and Learning (ACTL) and is a Commissioner on the Education Attainment and Innovation Task force for the American Council on Education (ACE).
