Biography

Robert Henry has over 20 years experience in Information Systems. He joined the Information Services team as CISO for Santa Clara University in December 2012 to establish a new information security program with an emphasis on policy development, security awareness development, and incident response. From 2007-2012, he established the information security program at Boise State University. Previously, he served as a Systems Engineer for Boise State. A graduate of Boise State and the University of New Hampshire, he holds CISSP and GIAC Forensic Analyst and Incident Handler credentials. He has led Local Mentor Program sessions in forensics, incident handling, and security architecture for the SANS Institute. He serves on the SANS-EDU Advisory Board and the HEISC Technologies, Operations, and Practices Working Group. He has presented at High Tech Crime Investigations Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners conferences. At the 2013 EDUCAUSE Security Professionals Conference he presented on cloud security and incident handling. Most recently he led panel discussions on establishing an information security awareness program, and risk evaluation and data protection at the 2014 Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities Conference on IT Management.
