Biography

Joined Furman University as a Systems Administrator in 2005.

Responsible for the management of all Linux (Redhat ES/Cent OS) and Unix (HP-UX/Tru64/Solaris) servers and various components of the Active Directory structure including DNS and Windows Systems Administration. Manage the implementation of most LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) web servers and assist in the management of applications based in PERL and PHP.

Create VMWare ESX virtual machines and configure networking and OS installation.

Deploy Linux server in the Amazon AWS cloud.

Manage Enterprise backups (IBM Tivoli/EMC/Quest Vranger/Backup Exec 2012/Exagrid).

Manage WSUS (Windows Server Update Services).

Manage BIND DNS servers as well as BIND caching servers.

Manage the implementation of SSL certificates for web server security.

Member of University's Web Committee and Instructional Technology Committee.
