Biography

Russell Kahn is a professor in the Communication and Information Design
program at the State University of New York, Institute of Technology
(SUNYIT) in Utica. He is also the director of the BS Communication and Information Design program at SUNYIT. In 2004, he received STC’s
Jay R. Gould Award for excellence in teaching and mentoring and last year he
was named an STC associate fellow. Before going into teaching, Dr. Kahn
was a senior technical editor at Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National
Laboratories. He holds a PhD in Information Science from the Rockefeller
School of Public Policy at SUNY Albany.
