Biography
Sue Traxler is Assistant Vice Chancellor of Information Technology/CIO at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. She started May 2013. Prior to UW-Platteville, Sue was the Associate Director of Information Technology Services at Carleton College, where she had been for 20 years, and has worked in higher education information technology support for 23 years. Before Carleton, she worked at the University of Minnesota providing technology support & training for faculty, staff and students. Sue manages a staff of 46 technology professionals who provide technology and media services support for campus constituents.
Sue has been involved in planning several events on campus, including hosting several annual regional user groups for the Midwest colleges. Sue has several yearsÃÂ experience planning both regional and national Datatel User Group conferences, both as a participant as well as chair for the regional planning. Sue has served as an adjunct proposal reader for both the 2009 and 2011 National EDUCAUSE conference and is an active member of CLAC (Consortium of Liberal Arts Colleges). Most recently, she is the chair of the EDUCAUSE Recognition Committee and a member of the Midwest EDUCAUSE Conference Planning Committee. She participates in campus committees including the Administrative Computing Advisory Committee, the Forum Steering Committee and the Carleton Employee Retreat Committee. Sue holds a BS from the University of Minnesota and an MBA in Information Technology Management from Capella University.
