Walter "JP" Peters is the IT and Communications Director for the UCF College of Sciences. JP's primary responsibilities include overseeing the provision of IT services to college faculty, staff, and student employees, including support for instructional resources, technology consulting, system and network administration, research computing, special projects, and web development and design. He also directs the college's communication efforts.

JP holds leadership roles in various campus-wide committees, including college/division IT managers, classroom user experience, and web site CMS. Through these groups and other interactions, he helps lead collaborative efforts in a variety of cost-cutting and innovative IT initiatives across the institution.

Among his accomplishments, JP was the recipient of a 2009 Ryland Fellowship Award, and is a fellow of the EDUCAUSE Leadership Institute. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
