Biography
Bill Hogue has been Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for the eight campuses of the University of South Carolina since 2000. His duties include development of IT, research cyberinfrastructure and distance education infrastructure support strategy, policy, and practice for some 55-thousand students, faculty, and staff at 2-year, 4-year, and research institutions within the USC System. Prior to assuming his current role, Bill held IT leadership positions at Vanderbilt University, the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and University of Wisconsin System, and MIT. He holds undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate from Harvard University.
