Yvonne Belanger

Biography

Yvonne Belanger joined the US Program Postsecondary Success team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the spring of 2013.  Her work includes measuring outcomes, gathering feedback to improve implementation and building knowledge for the field, with a particular emphasis on technology-enabled innovation.   Before joining the foundation, Yvonne spent 10 years at Duke University. As Head of Assessment and Planning for the Center for Instructional Technology and Duke University Libraries, she led program evaluation and assessment efforts for campus-wide technology initiatives, worked with faculty and departments to assess the impact of technology and innovative pedagogy, and managed the library’s performance metrics and measurement programs.   Other previous positions include Project Manager for the AskNSDL distributed expert answer service under the federally funded National Science Digital Library project and Manager of AskERIC at the Information Institute of Syracuse, as well as 5 years as a classroom middle school math educator.   Yvonne holds a M.S. in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation with a concentration on applied research in education from the School of Education at Syracuse University and B.A. from St. John’s College, Annapolis.
