Zdenek Nejedly

Biography

Zdenek is an Analyst at the Computing & Communications Services, University of Guelph and the principal architect of the Web Access Management infrastructure for the campus.

He has designed and managed the implementation of the production SSO environment with Sun Access Manager in 2008 and also the re-implementation in Oracle Access Manager in 2012. Currently he is the PM and architect bringing more campus partners to Single Sign On. The staff (Office 365 since 2016 and Zimbra prior to that) and student (Google Apps since 2014) email systems are among the largest WAM/SSO partners .

Zdenek's other responsibilities include: i) Architecture of web services related to Identity and Access Management (example: application framework for SSO and data integration with Desire2Learn LMS). ii) Database solutions for teaching and research (example: clustering of the Oracle database - Oracle RAC - for BlackBoard Learning Management System).

Zdenek holds degrees from the University of Guelph (B.Computing and M.Sc. in Physics) and the Czech Technical University in Prague (Ing. in Physical Engineering and Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics).

He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), TOGAF(R) 9 Certified, an OCA WebLogic 11g Administrator, Microsoft Certified professional (MCP) and holds ITIL Foundations certificate and as well as Business Systems Analyst certificate by Inquestra. In the past Zdenek also held Oracle Certified Professional DBA, OCA in PL/SQL, and Sun certifications for J2EE Programmer and Web Component Developer.
