The University of Virginia is currently moving to virtualized delivery for most of the specialized software applications typically accessed in a computing lab environment. In this session, we will share how we conducted and evaluated our software delivery pilots, the virtual environments we tested, and what solution we ultimately selected, as well as the lessons we learned along the way. Session participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences and challenges in this arena and glean possibilities for offering specialized software to their communities free from the constraints of a physical location.
