Managing big data is daunting. Data is growing at an unprecedented rate, and institutions need to have a strategy in dealing with the sheer amount of data being created. This presentation will show how the VCCS manages petabytes of data with instantaneous backups, real-time disaster recovery replication, storage virtualization, and deduplication. The presentation will show how the VCCS simplified IT operations by eliminating block-based, direct-attached storage in favor of network-attached storage. Additionally, the presentation will discuss how the VCCS was able to eliminate tape backups altogether.
