Collaboration in Building a Virtual Teaching Center
Tuesday
Mar 16th, 2010
9:30 AM - 10:15 AM
Camelot/Third Floor
Session Type: Teaching and Learning
Faculty teaching and learning centers often have to cater to a larger and geographically diverse audience than they can realistically serve. An increasingly popular solution to this problem is to create a virtual teaching center. However, to create that resource requires organization, technical skill, time, and buy-in that might not seem readily apparent. How can an organization build a virtual center under these limitations? In this presentation we provide a case study of the building of a virtual center that distributes the workload through collaboration and succeeds through an agreed mission.
