Session Type: Concurrent Session
In this case study we'll share our experience and offer practical recommendations, following a roll-out of UW–W TechQuest, an interactive, multimedia overview of technology resources on our campus, developed in 2011 for the 2,000+ freshmen who join UW–W each year. Our challenge was to make sure students knew what technology resources are available, how they can be used, and where to find more information when needed. We used a Desire2Learn course as a framework and combined it with multimedia, live interactions, virtual conferencing, and social media to create a highly effective program, which achieved high student participation (75%) and satisfaction rates (90%).
