About the Conference
The EDUCAUSE Midwest Regional Conference 2013 was held March 18–20, 2013 in Chicago. Themed, "Collaborating for the Future...Now!," the conference featured learning opportunities that focused on creating a reflective and change-oriented IT culture. Participants engaged in activities that helped them learn, unlearn, and relearn IT practices and concepts.
Location: The conference took place at the Swissôtel Chicago, 323 E. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601.
Conference Highlights
General Session Speakers:
- David Ward, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Ann Kovalchick, Drake University
CIO and Executive IT Leader Roundatable: This small gathering brought together top higher education IT leadership for an informal discussion on current issues and campus challenges, with peer networking opportunities.
New IT Managers Program: This EDUCAUSE Institute Program, co-located with the Midwest Regional Conference, focused on providing participants witih the basic skills critical for the management and supervision of projects, units, and people.
EDUCAUSE Mentoring Program: Members of the Professional Development Mentoring Team were on-site in Chicago to meet with attendees one-on-one and act as resources.
