Many campuses find that the proliferation and continued storage of confidential data on desktop and laptop computers to be one of their top security risks. In combination with policy and awareness programs, data loss prevention products can be used to proactively identify and directly notify end users of these sources of risk for proper remediation. Our panelists will share their experiences working with academic, administrative, and governance units to protect data—legally, ethically, and technically.
