Session Type: Teaching and Learning
This panel will present several implementation cases from Mercy College, Swarthmore, and Hobart and William Smith. Digital storytelling will be described as an alternative assessment practice for student learning in critical reading, information literacy, and critical thinking. We will report on divergent support models, based on institutional segment emphasis, social structures, platforms, interinstitutional learning, and curriculum, and discuss coping strategies for current economic pressures. We will conclude by inviting participants to discuss these strategies at their institutions.
