The Measuring Information Service Outcomes (MISO) Survey, administered at 32 institutions including Wesleyan University, contains a variety of questions about the perceived importance and actual satisfaction of various IT and library services. In this session, we will discuss approaches to take when analyzing the results from the survey using Stata. By extending our data analysis beyond the scope of the synopsis that the MISO Survey returns to each participating school, we were able to find meaningful statistics that showed how to most efficiently distribute time and resources among the many provided services of these two departments.

OBJECTIVES: Learn ways to analyze the MISO survey results for your institution and how to approach cross-institutional analyses * Learn data-analysis techniques that can be used to determine how to effectively allot time and resources * Learn how to create visual representations of your findings in a way that clearly highlights important information
