The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, a leading academic health sciences center located on the Texas Gulf Coast, is searching for highly-motivated and enthusiastic candidates for an Applications Systems Analyst position in our Information Services department. The Applications Systems Analyst will serve as an Oracle Programmer/Developer, pulling data for use by Crystal Reports and writing/updating data interfaces from external sources into the PERL EMR. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and one year relevant work experience.
Preferred experience and skills includes:
Oracle PL/SQL programming.
Program, develop, troubleshoot, and tune Oracle code.
General report writing skills and writing Oracle stored procedures for use by Crystal Reports.
Unix shell scripting (IBM AIX, Korn Shell, Perl).
Knowledge of HL7 and ability to work with other interface structures (flat files, csv).
