Description:

Loyola Marymount University’s Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) has an opening for a Programmer Analyst II. Reporting to the ITS Manager of Programming, the Programmer Analyst II implements and customizes software packages, analyzes requirements and develops additional functionality.

This position is responsible for high-level analysis, development, interpretation, and professional development related to specific systems. The incumbent should be able to work with users and analysts to develop requirements for data systems. This includes identifying and analyzing objectives for features, functionality, input and output requirements and architecture. The incumbent is expected to test and debug computer programs as well as write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

We seek candidates who typically possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field or demonstrate relevant experience. Software programming certification in Java or .NET, as well as Web/Portal certification is a plus. Demonstrated experience with Java or .NET for web programming, and SQL for database programming is required. Strong problem solving skills is a must.
