Description:

Drexel University, Philadelphia’s Technological University, is seeking an HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Systems Administrator for its Human Resources department. The HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) Systems Administrator reports to the Director of HRIS within the Human Resources department. Responsibilities include recommending HRIS continuous improvement projects, enhancements, and business process changes to increase efficiency and user acceptance, provide overall direction, support, report generation and training of the functional aspects of a variety of systems including, but not limited to Banner, Hyperion and WebFinancials. In conjunction with the Director of HRIS, plan, schedule, monitor, evaluate and direct HRIS initiatives to ensure business solutions are implemented. Identify and resolve project issues and manage project risks. Act as point of contact for other departments to resolve problems regarding HRIS project support and act as in-house consultant for supporting systems.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required. Three to five years HRIS experience is required, preferably in an academic environment. Experience with databases serving compensation, benefits, payroll, position control, faculty administration and applicant tracking is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience in project management, managing applications deployment in a multi-tiered environment and must possess strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and communicate with technical and non-technical users. Demonstrated leadership, decision making and team building skills are required. Attention to detail and proven problem solving skills is essential. Experience with Sunguard SCT Banner and Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is preferred.

Responsibilities:
• In consultation with Director, departmental managers and process owners, develop/redesign HRIS processes to meet the needs of the University. Recommend possible HRIS solutions that impact the organization.
• Maintain and enhance existing reports/metrics and make recommendations for improvement/enhancements to HR systems. Liaise with internal Payroll, HR and IT staff to ensure successful testing and implementation of any system changes or enhancements. Test and approve upgrades and changes in systems.
• Act as the enabler to ensure technology resources are effectively utilized in support of University initiatives. Provide assistance in defining functions, operations and procedures on uses of HRIS. Must keep current on the operations of the user constituents in addition to maintaining awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
• Create and execute project plans; document all new programs procedures or instructions.
• Authorize and request system access and manage system and security access and issues for the user community. This includes monitoring and a routine review on the appropriateness of end-user security access.
• Develop and manage processes for the full utilization of HRIS; Work with Director of HRIS to develop strategic and tactical project plans. Improve current processes that impact data integrity.
• Support the users in troubleshooting production issues, analysis of setup and procedural changes, training and query and report development using Hyperion. Oversee and provides training for new users on HRIS functionality and audit capabilities.
• Represent the users in design changes to functionality, forms, reports, etc.; Work with the users to develop best practices across locations. Oversee the maintenance of employee data (including position budgeting); Maintain and manage accounts and security for salary information.
