Description:

American University's Student Accounts Office is seeking an experienced individual to fill a newly created Business Analyst position. The Business Analyst will serve as the office’s technical expert on Colleague’s systems and acts as the office’s primary liaison to Enterprise Systems. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and resolving issues with Datatel’s Colleague that impede the office from providing exceptional service to students, staff, faculty and other university customers. The Business Analyst is also responsible for documenting the office’s business processes, practices and workflow, as well as identifying and recommending process improvements.

The qualified candidate must have demonstrated work experience with an ERP or managing business operations working with packaged software. He/she must have the ability to understand, document and work with business processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Ability to communicate technology concepts effectively with technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective collaborative, customer service and public contact skills. Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Candidates who have knowledge of Datatel/Colleague; over 2 years experience at a higher education institution or prior experience working in student Accounts, Financial Aid or a Registrars office will be highly considered.
