ACTI 2011 Meeting Report

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Abstract

EDUCAUSE’s Advanced Core Technologies Initiative (ACTI) held its first in‐person member meeting July 7–8, 2011, in Boston, Mass. ACTI (www.educause.edu/acti), which was formed in fall 2010, currently has 63 member organizations. ACTI members are leaders in the development and implementation of core technologies and aim to lead the way for the higher education IT community when it comes to key issues in this space. The meeting itself drew nearly 40 participants to plan ACTI’s path forward as well as to discuss both existing work and determine new work for this initiative to pursue. This report provides an overview of the meeting and its outcomes, including what next steps ACTI will take.
