Net@EDU facilitates the networking goals of its members by:
Acting as a national center for research and advocacy in network policy issues
- Identifying issues that affect our members
- Helping to craft consensus positions on policy issues
- Promoting the advancement of network connectivity and service development at the federal level
Providing access to information and recommendations on how current business models, political initiatives, and mergers will affect our members
- Discussion lists and regular focus groups on cutting edge technology and policy issues
- Opportunities to meet with other networking leaders in academia, government, and industry
- Forward-looking meetings, conferences, and workshops
- First viewing of white papers and other publications by leading policy and technology experts
Working with partners and members to realize significant advances in the network environment of higher education
- Identifying the most appropriate network projects for implementation
- Working with the National Science Foundation and other federal agencies to help shape the development of related federal projects and programs.
