Sherri Yerk-Zwickl @ Lehigh: Hi everyone - we'll get started in a few minutes Sherri Yerk-Zwickl @ Lehigh: http://www.loyola.edu/CIO/TS/ Les @UManitoba: I can click on the link and got to the org chart Rob T UMich: Do you have benchmarks for how much you spend on internal projects? Kate Abele: how many people do you have working across these three categories of work? Michelle@NotreDame: do you carve out a % for that overhead across the board or by person/group? E: What is a "normal' length of time between a request for a university project to approval and start of project - "lead time" Les @UManitoba: How often do you create this list, which is the body that approves it (i.e. is it a cross university group), and what happens when a project proposal is submitted in between the time you create the list? Tony CWRU: Can you share a sample of the scorecard? Les @UManitoba: wrt to the last point, if a urgent question occurs between the 3 times a year that you meet is that request handled by exception or does the request wait? Michelle@NotreDame: Just to confirm - lead time from initial request to kick off planning is 3 months, is that correct? Les @UManitoba: meant 'urgent project is submitted Dan: can you define what you mean? Rob T UMich: Ditto - can you define what you mean? Michelle@NotreDame: yes thank you Rob T UMich: when she asked about change mgmt process Michelle@NotreDame: ND has Guidance Councils for campus areas (3), IT and then Enterprise wide. We also have a project change request mechanism that if the change is "Large" you must notify the GC as it can impact the next In Queue projects Rob T UMich: we just implemented demand mgmt process dealing with project proposals and gate reviews Rhian @ Edinburgh University: We look at similar kinds of changes. I am the portfolio manager, I meet with portfolio owner plus underlying programme owners about once a month. We look at impacts and make changes collectively. Sherri Yerk-Zwickl @ Lehigh: Rhian - please send to me at shy2@lehigh.edu Jeff Lovell - Univ. MO-St Louis: i clicked full screen to get it that way Rob T UMich: I clicked a "full screen" button and it worked Alan: Does this not introduce delays if stage gate happens far from next CAB meeting? Michelle@NotreDame: how do you incorporate agile methodologies into this model? Tony CWRU: Where do you sotre all your project documents? and are they available to all project managers for planning future projects? Rob T UMich: Thanks! Russell: Thanks for sharing! E: Thank you! Dalin@UTHSCSA: Excellent presentation and discussion. Thanks!! Rhian @ Edinburgh University: Thank you! Elena @ Loyola University MD: Thank you! Kelley: thank you! Patrick @ UGA: Thank you
