Session Type: Concurrent Session
This session will address mobile devices in higher education and the issues faced in supporting them. We'll cover survey data from Air University on students' use of mobile devices and services and their attitudes toward m-learning. We'll also address how a dramatic influx of tablet devices and smartphones at Western Carolina University has strained the resources that are used and tested on mobile platforms and impacted issues ranging from accessing the wireless network to using web-based tools like Blackboard. Come discuss the mobile trends on your campus and the issues you may face with the growing use of mobile devices.
