This session will address the purpose, method, and outcomes of Kansas State University's development of PowerCat Enhanced, an augmented reality microapplication that merges a user's cell phone view with location-based information and services. The presenters, who were project leads, will describe the application from conception through design and implementation. They will address the promises and pitfalls of bringing augmented reality from theory to action in higher education, using their experiences as a case study. Bring your iPhone 3GS or above or Android device to experience augmented reality firsthand.
