Gravitation toward client virtualization is a growing topic for those stressed by client system total cost of ownership. Client virtualization is the return to a centralized client computing model that preceded what is commonly known as the "desktop revolution." Technologies have evolved to accommodate centralized computing, and today these combined technologies are mainstream, from the data room to the client desktop. The speakers will provide a technology update of client virtualization and show how Yakima Valley Community College and other institutions with various but similar business requirements use these "Lego" together technologies to create a true, enterprise-class system to deliver a full, multimedia-rich, virtual desktop.
