Session Type: Concurrent Session
Centered on creating and sustaining a "new culture of learning," this presentation examines the successful Miami University model for using faculty learning communities-adapted to "nudge and guide change"-as learning-based, sustainable faculty development in which Toffler's culture ("learn, unlearn, relearn") emerges through interaction. Cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional faculty learning communities (FLCs) are thriving around the globe. These groups are committed to instructional excellence, innovation in approaches to pedagogical challenges, and exploration of educational technologies. Learn about the high impact of FLCs from a panel of faculty, instructional designers, and eLearning directors-all FLC members.
