Getting Started with EDUCAUSE Blogs and Wikis

Blogs

Blogs are a great way to expand your professional persona, share your experience at events, and publish ideas. Our blogs provide an easy way to participate in the higher-education IT community. EDUCAUSE encourages members to;

Share and discuss topics and resources of interest;
Share and discuss EDUCAUSE conferences, committee members and attendees are encouraged to share conference content

Each person will have their own style for taking notes for this activity. We encourage you to capture key points and lessons learned and to annotate, as appropriate, perspectives, resources, and Q&A.
Please include conference title and session.

Getting Started

Create an EDUCAUSE profile: https://www.educause.edu/user/register
Create a blog on EDUCAUSE Connect, Blog submission page: http://www.educause.edu/node/add/blog
Information to be included in the entry

Title (The title should be fairly short and self-explanatory)
Body

Choose tag(s) (type term in box to see if the tag is already in use, if not feel free to add your own folksonomy tag)

Wikis have emerged as a great opportunity to collaborate and share collective knowledge on a topic. Help make sure our community is up-to-date by adding your insights and information.

Title - The title should be fairly short and self-explanatory
For a Wiki to show up as part of a taxonomy term page, the wiki page title needs to be the same as the taxonomy term. (Example http://connect.educause.edu/term_view/Learning+Space+Design
Body
