Technical Requirements

West/Southwest Online Regional Conference | February 22–24, 2012 | Online

To Participate You Will Need

  • A high-speed WIRED connection (wireless and/or dial-up are not recommended)
  • A reliable telephone line (preferably landline) in case you experience audio difficulties during the event, and a conference phone if you are participating as a team
  • Cookies enabled in your web browser
  • Adobe Connect
  • Operating system, browser, and software requirements are below

Please run the Adobe Connect Connection Test to verify that your computer meets hardware and software requirements to use Adobe Connect. If you have problems completing the test or installing required software, please visit the Adobe Support website or call Adobe Connect Technical Support at 800-945-9120.

Mediasite Player: Install Silverlight. The installation directions depend on your operating system, so please see the below OS section for details. After you install Silverlight, please make sure it works by using this test link.

Online Conference Orientation Session

To help participants maximize their experience in this online event, we conducted an orientation session on February 16. For a program overview and "tour" of our online learning environment, view the recording and slides.

Tuning In

On February 21, all registered participants will receive an e-mail message with a link to the Adobe Connect room as well as your username/password. If you register after the 21st, you will receive a personal e-mail. On the day of the event, you will:

  • Go to the Adobe Connect West/Southwest Online meeting room. (This room will be open an hour before the conference begins.)
  • Select "Enter with your login and password."
  • Type in your username and password from the registration e-mail.
