About the CIO Commitment
The CIO Commitment is a national campaign asking senior higher education IT leaders to jointly endorse a common set of actions that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion locally and in the field.
The EDUCAUSE Board, together with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force and the EDUCAUSE leadership team, invites all senior IT leaders in our community to support the CIO Commitment Statement. The goal of the statement is to build momentum for a set of practices that will foster greater diversity in our field.
Why a commitment statement?
The DEI Task Force believes that it takes a community working together to improve the diversity and inclusiveness of the higher education IT field. The commitment statement helps build that community.
Who can sign?
At this time, the commitment statement is intended for institutional CIOs and VPs of information technology. Others, please encourage your CIO to sign. Depending on feedback, we may create ways for additional voices in our community to join the commitment.
