We're researching alternatives to replace our math placement assessment test.  This test is available via a web interface to all incoming enrolled students.   The test scores are used to determine the current math skills level of the incoming student, and to place the student into math courses at his level.

The current system is a web application written in Perl.  We wish to know what solutions other colleges and universities have implemented to handle math skill assessment and course placement for new students.  Anything out of the box? Anyone using Blackboard system for this? We are especially interested to know how institutions using the Banner system haveintegrated their math skills assessment scores with Banner.

Thanks- Shahra

We use ALEKS and load those scores into Banner.

We use Blackboard without integration w/Banner.
