Has anyone come across any products that could extend Ethernet to say 500 meters to an endpoint with PoE and Gig?

I’ve looked at the Phybridge data sheet, but it appears to be a two port switch and I’m guessing rather expensive.

I’m also not sure if it requires a pair of them, or if there is something you can put on the endpoint end.

We have roughly a half dozen locations that we need to do this for six months until we can build another closet.

We have not run the cable yet.

Not POE, but you can pick up used Cisco LRE gear pretty cheap to handle the data bits.  You could perhaps do an injector at the other end for PoE.

We are not using the POE model but have had good success with these units to serve construction trailers.

We’ve used these devices for that, they pull a bit of POE to power themselves, but depending on how much power you need at the far end, and the distances involved it could work  we haven’t had a ton of problems with them, but a few have died.  We have power some POE VoIP phones over 500’ away using one of these in the middle though.  They also have a 2 port model.
