The Domino Effect: One School's Digital Strategy

Tuesday, February 14 | 4:00PM–5:00PM | Meeting Room 615A/B
Session Type: ELI12

The potential impact mobile computing can have on higher education is apparent, but numerous barriers also exist that can significantly impede change. As a way to speed digital content adoption and take advantage of mobile technologies among all in the campus ecosystem, Cal State Fullerton armed all faculty with iPads, because without their blessing student adoption would be much more difficult. The strategy involves making available many mobile offerings, such as access to digital textbooks, to encourage digital content adoption. We will discuss the program's implementation, faculty reaction to it, and future plans.
