EDUCAUSE Live! Webinar
The Power of Privacy and the Passion to Build Something Better

Privacy is a systems management and compliance issue, a unique and dynamic student and faculty requirement, and a topic of expanding innovative possibilities as an ever-present element in higher education. We will discuss some of the hottest topics and trends in data privacy, protection, and security; we will introduce some frameworks and tools that might help stimulate the next wave of information innovation based on the book, The Privacy Engineer's Manifesto: Getting from Policy to Code to QA to Value; and, finally, we will discuss why data about human beings deserves to be treated as a precious resource with fiduciary care and with an eye to preventing risk but also value creation. Presenters: Michelle Dennedy, Vice President & Chief Privacy Officer, McAfee Online bio: http://blogs.mcafee.com/author/michelle-dennedy EDUCAUSE Related Resources: Data Privacy Month Privacy Primer page
