What actions are possible to realize the vision?

• Create collaborations of academic departments, technology support groups, and instructional development design teams.
• In our distributed environments, create models of support so that faculty know where to find help.
• Establish principles under which work will be done, even if there isn't agreement on the details of how the work will be done (the MIT model).
• Establish a framework for development of instructional technology within your organization.
• Develop mechanisms for instructional components not only within an institution, but also among institutions (WebCT).
• Find ways to influence vendors or partner with vendors to deliver the instructional tools we need.
