• May require high level, contextual metrics of the kind Juris displayed for the impact of NSF funded research, including categories such as: Retention rates, time to graduation, changing approaches to the baccalaruate, job placement rates, changes in lecture style classes, etc.
• Develop a "best practices" evaluation similar to EDUCOM's viable, valuable software evaluation process.
• Success may be nothing more than survival: Do our institutions survive all the changes we are discussing and, perhaps more importantly, do they have the characteristics we want them to have?
