ACTI 2011 Activities and Progress

Abstract

The Advanced Core Technologies Initiative (www.educause.edu/acti) focuses on the core networking, computation, storage, and enabling applications that enable campus administrative systems, teaching and learning, research, and community services. The goal is to help colleges and universities share wisdom and progress by providing a venue for IT professionals from diverse institutions with varying capabilities and resources to interact and address emerging challenges.

As 2011 drew to a close, ACTI comprised five working groups, and had completed its first full year of activity. This report highlights the work of these five groups, as well as includes a year-in-review timeline of ACTI milestones and a look forward at 2012.
