Abstract
We will discuss and demonstrate open-source development tools and languages from the PHP scripting language to the Apache Web server, including the object-oriented capabilities of PHP, the modular aspects of the Apache Web Server, and reasons for using open-source software. We will look at the Linux Operating System and compare platforms. Using these freely available tools, you can build enterprise-level solutions unavailable with commodity software.
