Abstract
A consortium of Houston-area educational institutions have built the EduPop, a new Internet routing point that benefits educators, students, and university affiliates. This presentation will cover the needs, the challenges, the architecture, and the ancillary benefits of this initiative. This project can provide a model for high-speed community-based networking.
