Abstract
Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida developed my Medical Information Center (myMedIC), a Web portal that allows healthcare providers and their patients to securely access highly sensitive medical records from a variety of Internet-capable devices including Web browsers, handheld devices, and cell phones. This presentation describes our approach to security from authentication and session management to roles and application authorization.
