Peter Angelos

Biography

     With over 30 years of experience in the field of information technology in the educational, nonprofit, private, and government sectors, Peter Angelos has professional experience that ranges from application development, systems analysis, and compliance (intellectual property, information security, and accessibility), to leadership in operational, organizational and change management. By combining his career in IT with an academic background that includes a BA and MA in the field of history, Peter has been successful as a liaison between applied technology and a broad range of disciplines and endeavors. In his current role (since 2020) as Executive Information Officer for Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College, Peter has contributed strategic leadership and professional information technology management to the College so that it may continue to provide higher education opportunities for its communities in a welcoming, culturally diverse environment.
     Peter is engaged in a number of MinnState, state-wide, regional and national organizations and boards with an emphasis on leadership in higher education, broadband, distance education, open educational resources, digital equity, and other technology areas. He currently servers on the Board of Directors for EDUCAUSE.
     A valuable part of his position is to bring service delivery best practices, compliance management and innovation from the higher education, private and non-profit sectors to the College in a way that is respectful of the diversity of thought and expression characteristic of this unique Tribal and Minnesota State community college.
