Reviewers for EDUCAUSE Review Online evaluate submissions for publication according to EDUCAUSE standards for peer review, including value of the contribution to the community, validity of the research, and appropriate use of multimedia. Reviewers also solicit their peers for contributions to the publication and may submit their own work for consideration. They advise the Editor as requested and have the opportunity to meet at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference.

Service is for one year; Senior Reviewers (by invitation only) serve for three years. Existing reviewers may volunteer for multiple one-year terms if they wish.

Reviewers sign up to evaluate submissions based on their availability and interest in the topic. Most submissions have one to two weeks for review, with accommodation made for long or complicated papers or scheduled school breaks/holidays. Each paper is evaluated by 8-12 reviewers to provide a wide range of responses and advice for the authors.
