EDUCAUSE senior leadership provides strategic and tactical guidance for the association, working with the EDUCAUSE board to serve our community of colleges, universities, and other organizations.

Vice President, Professional Development and Membership

Eden leads the units responsible for EDUCAUSE conferences and events, learning and career advancement programs, member relations, and corporate engagements. She is committed to advancing higher education’s academic missions – education, scholarship, and research – through the innovative and effective use of technology and connecting solution seekers with solution providers.

Vice President, Partnerships, Communities and Research

Susan is responsible for EDUCAUSE research and benchmarking programs (the EDUCAUSE Center for Analysis and Research (ECAR) and the Core Data Service), trends initiatives (the Horizon Report and the Top 10 IT Issues), communities (including the Cybersecurity Initiative and HEISC, the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI), the Student Success Community Program, the Enterprise IT program, Community Groups), and partnership activities.

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Nycole leads EDUCAUSE financial operations, fiscal health, and financial strategy. Her responsibilities include business development, finance-related reporting, and accounting.

John O'Brien

President and CEO

John is responsible for leading EDUCAUSE in its mission to advance higher education through technology innovation. He directs all activities and functions and works with the EDUCAUSE board to ensure stewardship, transparency, and accountability in service to EDUCAUSE members.

Joe Ryan

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Joe leads the EDUCAUSE IT business function, which provides IT services to the association staff and works with the business units on IT solutions that support and provide value to the membership at large. Joe has a career of work in higher education technology settings.

Catherine Yang

VP of Digital Communications/Content and DEI Initiatives

Catherine oversees the association's digital communication channels of marketing, web and publishing. Her responsibilities include the EDUCAUSE websites, EDUCAUSE Review, the EDUCAUSE Library, and various content strategy and DEI initiatives.
