Constituent and Discussion Groups

Find connections and focused communications with EDUCAUSE constituents among these member-driven electronic discussion groups. As a participant in open, informal "communities of practice," you will find the responsiveness of an engaged group and a network of professionals. NOTE: Postings to a Constituent Group listserv are indexed and archived on the EDUCAUSE website in a publicly searchable format, in keeping with the association's commitment to open sharing of ideas, issues, and practices involving information technology in higher education. This allows quick review of past discussions on the listserv; it also makes postings accessible via Internet search engines.

Most groups interact throughout the year via electronic discussions and meet at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference. Discussions and meeting minutes are archived and fully searchable, and subscribers are invited to share useful resources for posting on the group's web page.

EDUCAUSE Discussion Groups

EDUCAUSE Discussion Groups are closely tied to current EDUCAUSE programs, such as the Cybersecurity Initiative and the Policy Analysis and Advocacy program. Discussion groups benefit from the support of EDUCAUSE staff liaisons. Participants are encouraged to share experiences and resources as well as to help identify current issues in need of support, which EDUCAUSE staff and discussion group members help develop.
