Annual Meetings

ELI Annual Meetings

Each year in early February, the teaching and learning community comes together to explore and experiment with instructional innovations, to network with colleagues around the world, and to grow professionally. A combination of plenary presentations, interactive sessions, and hands-on workshops—plus plenty of time to visit with colleagues—ensures that the ELI Annual Meeting brings lasting value to participants. ELI encourages institutions to maximize the value they receive from the conference by sending institutional teams, which facilitates shared learning and enhances the potential for collaborative initiatives back on campus.

We limit the size of the meeting to ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, and it usually fills quickly. Don't forget to register early to ensure your participation. As a membership benefit, representatives from ELI institutions enjoy member-only registration rates for the annual meeting.

Focus Sessions

ELI Focus Sessions

Focus sessions help participants to develop a deeper understanding of a teaching and learning topic and to gain practical knowledge that can be applied on a local campus level. As with the annual meeting, institutions are encouraged to facilitate this process through team participation. We limit the size of these events to ensure a high-quality experience for all who participate. This means that the focus sessions often fill quickly, so register early.

Focus Session proceedings can be accessed here.

Online Seminars

ELI's online seminars offer an opportunity to hear from experts around the world on a specific teaching and learning with technology-related topic. These three-hour, highly interactive online offerings, facilitated by leaders in the field, will focus on strategies and hands-on applications. Several resources and handouts will support and help to guide activities and discussions with participants.

Online seminar proceedings can be accessed here.

ELI Webinars

ELI Webinars

ELI hosts monthly live webinars that focus on key teaching and learning topics. ELI webinars are highly engaging and allow you to explore content and interact with other participants and the presenters. Webinar participation is restricted to ELI members for six months from the seminar date, after which time the archived copy becomes publicly available.
